Also covers the incorporation of Bomvanaland and lands of the Griqua into the Cape Colony. Ex-library (State Library, Pretoria) copy with consequent stamps, annotations. Rebound by the Library. Various different library stamps on the title page: 'Bibliotheek - Staats Bureau, ZAR'; 'Staats Secretariat - Afdelling A - Archief'; 'State/ Staats Library / Biblioteek - Pretoria'; 'T - Archives Library / Archief Bibliotheek'. Cloth covered boards and leathered spine. The front board has 'State Library Pretoria' stamped in gilt. The spine has a classification notation. The boards are amiable, sound, only lightly marked by handling and shelving. The spine is healthy with some light scuffing. Stamped gilt titling. The contents are mild-mannered and authoritative.
